Ypsilanti, MI – The inaugural TPA© football rankings for Michigan colleges and universities finds some familiar powerhouse names from the Division 2 and 3 ranks interspersed with perhaps unexpected Division 1 schools filling up the lower ranks.
The TPA© is a simple statistical formula that is based solely upon performance on the field, not name recognition, tradition or voter/fan allegiances.
To be eligible to be included in this week’s rankings, the school has to have played at least 3 games. MSU is therefore absent since it has played only 2 games as of this date.
Hillsdale’s Chargers took the #1 spot with a TPA© of 14.5 points, next came Western Michigan Univ. with 12 points. Kalamazoo College and Hope College tied for #3 with a TPA© of 11 points. Concordia Univ. rounds out the Top 4 with a TPA ©of 10.5

Making History! --
A truly bizarre football game unfolded under the lights at Ohio Dominican University Saturday night, and the Hillsdale College football team wouldn't have it any other way.
Head coach Keith Otterbein won his 100th game leading the team he used to play for as Hillsdale defeated the 12th-ranked Panthers 34-18 in Columbus.
The win makes Hillsdale 2-1 overall and 1-0 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference, while ODU suffered its first loss of the season.
