Ypsilanti MI – Hillsdale College continues to sharpen its quest for the G-MAC regular season title, postseason play and the first-ever TPA© Champion’s Award with a solid win over Walsh (OH) this past weekend. The Chargers have been the #1 or #2 rated team in the TPAs all season long and continue to be the prototypical team, hitting every category milestone on an almost weekly basis.
The Broncos of Western Michigan appear to be crystalizing their vision of “what works for us” as they spend their 3rd straight week in the Top 5, at #2. The Univ. of Michigan rings in at #3 with Grand Valley State Univ. at #4 and undefeated Ferris State Univ. finally cracking the Top 5.

#3 Ferris State Stuns #2 Grand Valley State Late For Anchor-Bone Victory
(Reprinted from FerrisStateBulldogs.Com)
Big Rapids, Mich. - A big fourth down call late in the contest lifted the third-ranked Ferris State University Bulldogs to a thrilling 35-31 road victory over second-ranked Grand Valley State 35-31 before a large crowd on Saturday (Oct. 13) night in the Anchor-Bone Classic at Lubbers Stadium in Allendale.
Ferris State converted a 31-yard touchdown throw from slot receiver Jevon Shaw on a throwback to junior quarterback Jayru Campbell on a key fourth down call with just over three minutes remaining to put the Bulldogs in front for the final time in the back-and-fourth contest.
From there, the Bulldog defense came up with a huge stop after GVSU marched into FSU territory when junior Delon Stephenson picked off his second pass of the night to preserve the win.
With the victory, the Bulldogs stayed perfect at 7-0 on the year and are now alone atop the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) with a 5-0 league record. The win was FSU's seventh in the last nine matchups against the Lakers under head coach Tony Annese.

Ypsilanti, MI –
Hillsdale College’s Chargers regained the Top Spot in the DMG Team Performance Average (TPA©)Rankings by a margin of slightly more than a ½ point over Grand Valley St.’s Lakers.
Both teams came through the weekend with winning efforts, but Hillsdale’s point total was enhanced on the strength of a road victory that was nearly penalty free.
Meanwhile, in Allendale MI, the #3 ranked Lakers scrimmaged for this week’s game with #2 Ferris St. Univ. by treating visiting Dixie St. (IA) to a 21 point thrashing that was not that close for most of the game.
Rounding out this week’s Top 5 is Hope College, Olivet College and tied for the #5 spot are Davenport Univ. and Kalamazoo College. Flirting with a Top 5 position is U-M at #6.
Over in Midland there was reason to celebrate as Northwood Univ. went into Marquette and rode a valiant, turnover free effort to its first victory of the year, 27 – 24 over Northern MI Univ.
The Timberwolves’s victory left Finlandia Univ. as the only winless program in the state.

Ypsilanti, MI -- The TPA(c) 's for Week #4 of the 2018 Michigan College Football season has been released and it finds Michigan State finally qualifying for a ranking after meeting the 3 games played minimum. Speaking of unbeaten, there are currently seven teams with unblemished records heading into this weekends's action. Conversely, there will be 2 teams still seeking their first victory of the 2018 season.
